Its 941 am was woken up by a pneumatic drill in the street at 730am and then decided to try have a bath, I totally forgotten about the living room when Id woken up and walked in.... and Yes its still leaking as its still raining.... Good news is there is now an engineer here who is fitting smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector in the hall way... although I thought you are meant to have one in the kitchen as well..... anyhoo it’s a start... Will update more later if and when the roofers come....oh yes and we have a burglar alarm that we can’t use as we don’t have the code for and when the powers off it goes off and is so loud .. thats what’s happening now ....yay result its off!! Its finally disconnected and we finally have 2 alarms in the hall :) 0947 signing off....
Okay its 1112 and the roofers have just been.... they had been here before.... and on arrival they said not again and one of them even said "oh for fuck sake" I asked when they had last been here and they told me last year ... the bedroom had been leaking at one point as well but he said it looks like the repair is perfectly fine and is holding up... So they went up on the roof and found the problem... there is a turret above the living room and the tiles are wrecked and when it was windy they fell off putting a tear through the felt on the roof and caused all the water to come through.. They have promised they will be back in the afternoon to patch it up.. But its more than likely going to happen again.....I am waiting on another 2 roofers visiting at 12 and the other at 2pm...
1240 Roofers number 2 are here and going up to the roof to investigate... let’s hope something can be done.... Okay the roof is not fixable it will continue to happen. Even if they patch it the leak will happen again and again, according to the roofer the scaffolding will cost £4000 alone so not much hope of the roof being replaced as that doesn’t even include the materials and labour! So looks like we are going to be stuck with this lovely leaky living room...woohoo!
Okay at 245 the 3rd of our roofers arrived to look at the flat... we have a glimmer of hope he has told us that at all costs he will make the flat water tight tommorow at 9am so we shall see.....
At around 230 the 1st roofers returned to the flat this time to repair the roof... well patch it up, so they went up to the roof for around an hour and came down telling us the roof is patched but that we should keep an eye on it as it will more than likely happen again.....but for now we have a nice living room back again and have moved it all back as normal.... so we are sitting here for the first time in a week and are actually relaxed....until next time.......
Oh and more news... I called “L” from the agency and she was very helpful and told me she’s not happy that they only patched it and that she would try her best to get it resolved... We are still expecting the other roofer tomorrow to double check on the repair as “L” wanted to make sure it was done properly. As for our friends the wasps, we are going to get that dealt with soon as “L” is on the case ... let’s hope it’s going to get better and we can actually start to enjoy the flat and relax...

I can’t believe my eyes there a bus load of tourists in our street! It seems that this part of town has become a tourist attraction well at least until someone gets stabbed by a stray junkie or Ned.... Well its fitting considering we are only 30 minute walk from the lovely Style Mile.... lol , I’d love to know what’s so stylish about Glasgow but that’s a rant left for another day.
There are disturbing cracking sounds coming from the roof at the moment and it’s a little bit worrying after yesterdays excitement ... good news is that its dry so let’s expect the worst but hope for the best....
This is a strange one it’s actually quiet tonight, no leaks, the weird noises have stopped and no Neds!! It’s pure dead brilliant!!!
