Aye fu..k off ya auld perv!!" I had to look to see what was going on... and she was shouting at a wee old man who couldn’t even walk properly....So another nice wee wakeup call......
So about 10 minutes later the drilling started again followed by more shouting in the street... well singing I couldn’t make out what though... followed by...."Shut the Fu*k up ya twat!!" coming from a woman hanging out the window... So that was me up and awake... I had to go to Springburn for an appointment anyway.
I went to the train station just across the road and found out that there was another station only 5 minutes away that would get me there quicker so I decided to buy the ticket there and walk to the other station..... Walking up an ally way filled with broken glass and into a street filled with factories ... following my Iphones GPS that said "use caution" It’s the first time I’ve noticed it does that ... turns out anywhere in this area it says the same... but when you go 5 minutes up the road it doesn’t...Even my Iphone doesn’t like the area, must be scared it gets kid napped by a Ned or junkie...
I walked to "Merchant City East" and noticed on arrival at the station I had lost my ticket... typical so I got a train to the next stop and swapped trains and eventually got to Springburn.... I however got off at the wrong stop and ended up thinking I was lost but made it eventually and I was on time so all good.
On return to the flat I decided to get off the train at Alexander Parade and walk back... So I walked down in the direction of the flat and ended up in yet another scary looking area ... I crossed a bridge over the railway that was burned vandalized and covered in broken glass and rubbish.. Very nice! over to a housing estate that looked like something from Taggart.... near the Bellgrove Hotel where there was a group of drunks in the street falling over the place and heading to the off licence... lovely.. I then got past that and went back through the same lovely street I walked through at the start... Let me tell you I did proceed with caution the whole way back....
So I got back to the flat and I’m just off the phone with my mum and dad and for a change giving them good news about the flat not bad.... Also just spoken to "L" who has told me that there will be a Joiner here today and she will call me back.... so let’s wait and see if he calls or shows.... Oh and I forgot to mention..... The flats still dry but then it is another sunny day so who knows... we shall see :)
Okay back to the agency being unreliable again.... I’ve been sitting in since 1030am waiting on the joiner and have also been calling to speak to "L" she’s always busy... I just wanted to know one way or the other if there’s someone coming or not as I’d like to relax or maybe even go out at some point... still no phone call back.....Bored bored bored...
Well its appearing like I’m being avoided again, I have called 3 times and "L" was on another call the first time....she would call me back.....Busy the 2nd time... she would call me back..... On lunch the 3rd time I should call back in 30 minutes... I now think I’ll leave it in my dad’s hands again if I have no luck... Not for the lack of trying but I really have decided that I’ve had enough today...
I have now decided to return the favour to the letting agency, I’m just not going to bother anymore and maybe go out....I have also decided to ignore all phone calls from them ... technically the flats still not wind tight so they can sing for their rent on the 1st of September..Oh and thanks to this place we have had to cancel a weekend away in London which we are not happy about to be honest I can’t be bothered with anymore stress so if the flat leaks again I’m just going to let it run there lovely couches that are covered in stains ..... Good thing is my mum bought me throws for them... I’ll take the throws and cushions off and leave them to get soaked ... maybe get a new sofa out of it?? Doubtful lol...
Oh I also forgot to say I’ve become the bird man again ... Feeding the wee birds bread out of my kitchen window ... I was going to throw it out the window but like my dad said I’d probably end up with a brick coming back at me lol...
I gave in and decided to call "L" for th3 4th time today and guess what..... She’s busy! She will call me back.... okay how many times have I been told that?? I’m sick of them anyone would think they are trying to annoy me today.... So they have broken there word yet again...I’m left wondering what’s going to happen next time the roof leaks...... :(
Beginning to think it’s going to be a long long long year full of chasing the agency to get anything done... not sure if I can face a year of this as 2 weeks is bad enough... Looks like they won’t be getting their rent on the 1st now ... now we have the upper hand!!
Wow at 410pm after waiting in all day I received a call from the Joiner telling me he won’t be making it today and asking what the problems are... where the hell is the list??? He also wanted to come tomorrow and I said no as I waited in all day today for nothing and think I need out of the house...He then offered to get a key and come into the flat when I was out! I said no way! That would make us feel really secure on our day away tomorrow.. So he's meant to be here tomorrow morning and I said if he's not then he can come Monday as its been a really bad week and we need to get out of this place for a while.
In the afternoon we went to Asda and bought too much then decided to walk back to the flat it took much longer than normal as we had to keep stopping... got back late and decided to make dinner .... However I made a mess before we went out as I done 2 loads of washing and ended up making a washing line by tying washing line to a beam and a hook in the wall then attaching it to the cupboard handles..... Oh my god I miss the tumble dryer so much! None of the clothes had dried and we ended up running around trying to find coat hangers to hang everything on otherwise it would smell of food when we made dinner........We hung it all up in the spare room it looks like a sweat shop.
All in all a very quiet night and nothing exiting has happened at all.... If anything more happens ill update this :)
