Next step on our Sunday morning go make breakfast in the open plan wasp infested kitchen lounge...
I found 5 dead wasps and 2 live ones and my partner would not come into the room... I was looking out of the window and noticed the wasps flying into the beam on the bay window and discovered the nest was inside the window frame and the reason it was painted shut was maybe to prevent them coming in....
My theory is that the day the "Joiner" broke open the window with his chisel he actualy disturbed the nest and the paint broke off the window meaning they could come inside using the place the ropes go inside the window frame so in doing good it made things worse... So yes now the flat has
A leaky roof
A window that’s stuck open
A window that may fall out
A wasp nest
No smoke detectors
Some windows still stuck shut
And not a chance in hell of being fixed... so at this stage I can tell you we are a tad depressed about this....the situation is not looking to great!
On Sunday night we went out with our closest friend who introduced us to one of her friends.
Her friend is a reporter for a very big newspaper and was talking to us about the situation and we discovered the owners of the property are one of the worst land lords in Glasgow and what they had done was used our letting agency to hide who they are...It had filled us with dread knowing this....
So we will see what happens next......
We returned to the flat and there was more karaoke with such classics as
"Nae buddy knows it bit youve goat a secret shmile nd ye use it anely fur me" and "Shwen ye call me, shwen you here ma naame a cant wait tae fly I um alive" there’s many more but these are the lines that spring to mind.
